You may make your booking via our website, by email, telephone or fax. At the time of booking we will ask for your credit card details in order to proceed with the booking although we take no payment until the booking has been completed to your satisfaction. At that time we require a 20% deposit and balance payment 8 weeks before your arrival. If we have changed any of your golf requirements and they are not to your liking we will change these free of charge if advised within 7 days of our confirmation to you. Some courses have special deposit and cancellation policies. Sunshine Golf are not responsible where Golf Course offers or the offers of any other supplier are changed.
2. Quotes, Prices & PaymentAll quotes are specific to your request requirements, valid for 14 days from the day the quote is sent and subject to availability. Sunshine Golf reserve the right to amend a quote (total price/price per person) where your requirements change. All prices quoted in Euros. Once your booking is confirmed (unless you make changes) the price is guaranteed, with the exception of government changes in IVA (VAT).
Payments may be made by credit card via the secure payment form on our website. Alternatively you can telephone with your card details. Please do not send credit card details via e.mail. All taxes are included in your price, no credit card fee is charged (with the exception of American Express where a 3% supplement is made). Where credit cards offer a choice of how payment should be taken i.e. your home currency or euros, all payments will be taken in your home currency unless you specifically request otherwise.
3. Tee TimesDue to the volume of golfers during the high season it may not always be possible to obtain the times, dates or golf courses you have requested. If your specific requirements are not available we will offer alternatives. Once your booking is complete you must advise us of any changes you require within 7 days of our confirmation to you. Any changes you may require outside this time will be charged at 6€ per change.
4. Car Hire/Transfers.Transfers are with licensed coach companies and you, the client, are bound by their Terms & Conditions. A full itinerary detailing your transfers will be provided with your travel documents.
Car hire includes unlimited mileage, local taxes, fully comprehensive insurance, IVA (VAT), roadside assistance and personal accident insurance. Insurance does not include items such as wheels, tyres & windows - although, upon collection of the vehicle, the car hire company will offer you an optional excess to cover these. You will be issued with a collection voucher with full details of how to collect your car. This must be handed to the car hire operator on arrival at the airport. The only additional charge will be a full tank of petrol, optional excess as above and any charges for babyseats/additional drivers. These charges MUST BE PAID BY CREDIT CARD to the hire company on collection of the vehicle (the car hire company will not accept cash, Diners or American Express).
Theft: All thefts must be reported to the police and a copy of the report obtained. Personal effects are not covered by the insurance, we recommend you to ensure these are covered by taking travel insurance before starting your holiday. A vehicle loaded beyond the licensed capacity or drivers under the influence of alcohol or drugs will automatically invalidate the insurance.
Fuel: It is essential to ensure the correct fuel is used for each vehicle the client will be responsible for any costs involved where the incorrect fuel is used.
Drivers age: There are age restrictions on car hire - please ensure you check with Sunshine Golf if the driver is under 25 and / or has not held a full licence for more than 12 months.
Additional Drivers: Charges vary depending on the car hire company please check with Sunshine Golf if you require confirmation of these charges. Babyseats: Charges vary depending on the car hire company please check with Sunshine Golf if you require confirmation of these charges. For safety/security reasons babyseats must be fitted by the parent or guardian.
Roof racks: are not available on any vehicles.
In view of car hire company´s policy of upgrading their fleet regularly we cannot guarantee a specific type of vehicle within a particular group.
Your car hire is insured for the exact dates on your contract, any extensions to this are on request and MUST be advised to us prior to the end of the hire. A Vehicle will NOT BE INSURED if it is returned after the contracted return date.
Not included in the Hire: Traffic Fines, Towing, Tyres, Wheels, Lost Keys, Undercarriage and Interior Damage. Goldcar apply a minimum charge of 30€ if a returned vehicle requires extra cleaning.
5. Golf Information
Handicaps:
Most golf courses require a handicap of 28/36 (some slightly less) and it is important that you bring your handicap certificate with you since it could be requested at any time. Sunshine Golf are not responsible for clients not allowed to play due to non-compliance with this instruction.
Soft Spikes:
Most courses will not allow you to play without soft spikes we recommend all golfers visiting the Costa del Sol to use soft spike shoes (courses do not allow trainers).
Course Etiquette:
Please observe normal golf dress code and course protocol as you would in your own country.
Where buggies are included in your green fee this will be clearly stated on your confirmation invoice. We are happy to reserve buggies on your behalf although some courses do not provide this facility. Where we pre-book buggies these are paid for by you on arrival at the golf course.
7. Spanish Federation Fee:The Spanish Golf Federation levy a charge on all golfers visiting Spain, approximately 3€, most courses include this in their green fee where it is not included the caddymaster will charge you locally.
8. Course Closure:In the event of rain a course will decide whether to stay open or close. If a course is open they will expect you to play, if you choose not to they will not refund your green fee. If a course closes due to bad weather please ask the caddymaster to stamp this on your voucher, where a course refunds Sunshine Golf this will be passed, in full, to you.
9. Accommodation:All hotel accommodation provides private bathroom and breakfast (breakfast is not included in self-catering apartments and villas). A small charge is made at self-catering accommodation against breakages, this is payable locally and refunded to you when you complete your holiday. Accommodation booked is for the sole use of the number advised at the time of booking. Sharing or sub-letting of accommodation is strictly prohibited. Special requests will be actioned and provided where possible but cannot be guaranteed. Sunshine Golf cannot guarantee that all facilities will be available at all times.
10. Travel Documents:All documentation relating to your booking, including: Confirmation Invoice, Golf/Accommodation and Car Hire vouchers will be sent via email unless you request that they be posted to your home address or sent by FAX. If you wish you can collect your paperwork from the Sunshine Golf Store in La Cala de Mijas. Please ensure you have the relevant vouchers with you when arriving at the hotel, golf course and for collection of your car hire.
11. Cancellations:
Sunshine Golf do not wish to penalise clients who have a problem and cannot travel, our cancellation policy.is as.follows:
If you wish to cancel any part of your holiday we must receive the details in writing.
Golf: This varies from course to course between 7 and 30 days (sometimes longer for selected courses and / or bigger groups). Where Sunshine Golf receive a refund this will be passed to the client, less our cancellation fee of 6€ per player, per course.
Holiday packages: Accommodation/hotel and apartment suppliers offer no refund for cancellations made within 5 weeks of arrival. Accommodation only bookings cancelled prior to the 5 week period will incur an admin fee of 10€.
Car hire: Can be cancelled up to 7 days prior to arrival and will incur a 10€ admin fee.
(All refunds are subject to agreement by the individual courses and suppliers).
Sunshine Golf accept no responsibility where a person is unable to complete their holiday at their resort or for the loss of a green fee due to unacceptable behaviour.
13. Insurance:Sunshine Golf advise all clients travel with adequate insurance cover.
