During the last decades, Mijas Golf has become one of the most popular golf complexes in Europe, renowned for the outstanding condition of their courses and the friendly atmosphere and excellent service provided to its clients.

The courses, Los Lagos and Los Olivos are situated in the valley of Mijas, just north of Fuengirola, 20 minutes from Malaga airport and Marbella and 3.5kms from the sea.

Los Lagos was the first course to be constructed under the management of Mateo Perez Robles, one of the pioneers of the tourist industry on the Costa del Sol. This course presents wide fairways, with numerous lakes- hence its name -, the water hazards which one finds at the 9th and 18th holes and also the many trees which are strategically placed to protect the large greens.

The Los Lagos course is currently being reconstructed and will be opening in January 2013.

The excellent economical situation at the time allowed them to build the second course, Los Olivos.

Los Olivos was constructed between 1983-1984, it was however recently refurbished in 2000-2001. This course lies in a smaller piece of land and has different characteristics to Lagos. The greens are smaller with undulations and are well protected by the bunkers. It also has a large number of Olive trees strategically placed around the fairways which demand a strong and straight drive from the player.

Both courses are renowned for having very little rough, plenty of water and relatively flat.
